From its humble yet landmark begining, City Airport has served aviation continually throughout its lengthly lifespan.

We are embarking on a new chapter, buiding the history of the airport for the future. In previous years, City Airport suffered from a lack of investment spanning a long period, but more recent times have seen significant improvements including renovation of our Grade II listed Control Tower and Original Hangar, investment in regrading runways and improving drainage, introduction of a premium Heliport facility, and more recently significant infrastructure investment including a new Hangar.

We are taking a long term approach to our goal of becoming the premier General Aviation Facility in the Region, ensuring that our vision and plans create a financially sustainable business model, whilst also providing first class facilities that benefit the aviation, business and local community within Greater Manchester.
