Current Airport status - Access for the general public
We'd like to thank our regular visitors for their patience whilst we have been busy helping the Flying Schools and pilots return to flying. We're pleased that our current flying activity levels have been strong and we are building a stronger business as we emerge from the recent challenges.
Public visitors are welcome to visit our site. We are currently open for flying activities from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am until 6pm (or sunset if earlier).
We ask that all visitors note the following:
If you have any Covid19 symptoms please do not visit us.
Please respect social distancing whilst on site.
Please allow pilots to go about their business uhindered.
Available car parking may be limited.
There are currently no public toilets available.
Our Control Tower viewing balcony is currenty closed.
Runway26 Cafe/Bar is closed, however the Veterans Garage Lounge facility is available providing food and refreshments (please refer to the VG Facebook Page for details and availability) .
Children's play area is available (subject to restrictions and limitations when busy).
Visitors may use our grass area and benches for your own picnics.
Flights by based and visiting aircraft
We are open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am-6pm local (or sunset if earlier). We are available for specific Emergency Services, Military flights and other pre-approved flights outside these hours. Additional charges may apply for out of hours movements.

Flights and Lessons
If you have flights or lessons booked please contact your Flying School directly for information about your booking. If you have an experience voucher you will need to contact the company that sold you the voucher, or the Flying School that is undertaking the flight. Flying Schools have various restrictions and limitations to ensure it is conducted on a safe manner in relation to Covid-19 risks. Please contact your Flying School directly for information.

All our events are presently cancelled or postponed whilst we focus on rebuilding our aviation activities. We will continue to assess the present situation with regard to our future calendar of events. We will not be holding our Annual Firework Event or Children's Christmas parties this year.

We require all drone flights within our Flight Restricted Zone to be submitted for approval. Please visit www.cityairportandheliport.com/drones
Access to site.
Site access for tenants, visitors to businesses and based aircraft is available daily from 8am until airport close. For pilots and tenants requiring access to the site outside of our opening hours, in conjunction with our site security team we can arrange access where required. Please contact us for details.
Please note that at all times it is visitors own responsibility to ensure social distancing rules are maintained, in accordance with Government guidelines in force at the time.
Notice to all tenants, suppliers, customers and clients of the Peel Group
Due to the current emergency situation resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, all offices of the Peel Group are currently unstaffed with many employees working from home and as a consequence of this, the Group is unable to accept delivery by post or in person of any documentation including formal notices or legal documents.
